Quilt Celebrations for August 12th!

We had two celebrations last Tuesday.

Ruth brought her first applique project, which also served as a decoy
for her work on her daughter's quilt while Kristin was away at school.
It's such a cheerful piece!

Nicely done, Ruth!

Then Sharon brought this medallion sampler.
The outer areas are machine-quilted by her husband
and the medallion is hand-quilted by Barb.
There are a couple of close-ups, too.

Beautiful, Sharon!

Quilt Celebrations from July 29th and August 5th!

I am so behind it here!!

On the 29th, both Joann and June brought quilts to share.

Here are Joann's Baskets made from
half-Dresden Plates and filled with yoyo's!

....and a little bee!

Aren't they fun?  Yo-yo's are so versatile!

Beautiful work, Joann.

And here is June's lovely quilt made from a kit.
It's "Abalone Cove" from Keepsake Quilting.

Isn't it just stunning?

Then on the 5th, Rachelle brought two to share.

This scrappy one is so classic.

And this she made from the leftovers from her
Little Girls in Pink and Gray.  You can see it here.
The pattern is "Whirl-a-Jig" from Connecting Threads,
but made without their pattern!
I really like this one.

Beautiful work, ladies!

Happy Quilting!

June 3rd Quilt Celebrations!

We had three celebrations on Tuesday evening!

First was Ruth's beautiful Jakob's Quilt.  The colors are fabulous.
And the corner treatment is just cool!

Nice work, Ruth!

Next was Susy's baby quilt.  Isn't it darling??

Beautiful, Susy!

Then Connie shared her Jakob's quilt made for dear friends.

Isn't it amazing how many different looks we've seen with this one pattern?!

Wonderful, Connie!

May 20th and 27th Quilt Celebrations!

I never got to posting last week's quilt celebration, so it's a "Two-Fer" this time!

Last week I celebrated my "Diamond Little."
It's the first in a series (I hope!) of little quilts.

This week, we got to see Marla's last graduation quilt,
made for her youngest grandson.
It's just beautiful.

And a table runner also.

Beautiful, Marla!

And Marylu brought her first graduation quilt,
made for her oldest grandson in Hawaii!

There were lots of comments about how much it looks like Hawaii.

Lovely, Marylu!

And then, after many had already left, Cynthia Wallace showed us her
almost-finished quilt for her three-year-old granddaughter,
to whom she'll be giving it later this week!

So pretty, Cynthia!

May 6th Quilt Celebrations!

We had a busy night on Tuesday.  Barb, Diana and Theresa all brought quilts to celebrate!

The first of Barb's two is for her grandson.
The owl theme has become popular again.
Cute, cute quilt!

And the back!

Her second is her cow quilt.  Absolutely darling!
The back is a cow print, but the picture didn't come out.

Wonderful, Barb!!

Diana brought one she made for a nurse.
The quotations are so cute!

Very fun, Diana!

Theresa brought her "Pointless Star."  Is that right, Theresa?
She said it pretty much drove her crazy, but she's glad it's finished!

I like it, Theresa!

Happy Quilting!!

April 29th Quilt Celebration!

Theresa brought a couple of fun projects on Tuesday evening.
Lots of great color!

Here are her placemats and table topper in a grape theme.

And here is her Kaffe Fassett quilt.
She used shot cottons, regular cottons,
and these beautiful prints from the Kaffe Fassett line.

Beautiful, Theresa!!

After celebration, Connie did a demonstration on making four-patches for our block exchange.  And I mindlessly forgot to take pictures!  But it was fun, and we all gleaned something from watching her.  I'm looking forward to doing the blocks!

Happy Quilting!!

Ruth's Bon Voyage Party!

Ruth sent me these photos from her going-away party,
and I wanted to share them.

What a fun evening.  Thanks, everyone, for making it a special time!

Singing our prayer.

Feasting!
