Quilt Celebrations - December 1st

Lots of quilts!!

Rachelle brought a bunch of Linus quilts.  Fabric had been donated that "went together" so she put together all of these.  More than I was able to get photographed!

You're amazing, Rachelle!

Colette brought 3, two of which use batiks.  The third is a fun churn dash.

Primrose Night, Getting Ready for the Quilt Show and January 28th Quilt Celebration!

It was Primrose Night on Tuesday.  Every year, Larry Wilson sends primroses for all of us quilters.  Such a sweet tradition.  Thank you, Larry!

The quilt show is ever on our minds now with only a month to go!  Donations of things to sell in the Country Store are pouring in....here are a couple that we looked at on Tuesday.  And Marla also brought houses made by her husband Dick.  They have lights in them, and are amazing.  You can see them there on the table.

And Joyce brought her "Affairs of the Heart" quilt to celebrate.  Such a beautiful piece!  She told us about the fabric she used for the border hearts, which she found at WalMart!

Beautiful work, Joyce!

We celebrated Connie Taylor's art of the same pattern last August.  The thing both of them said is that they were very glad to have them completed!  Here's Connie's again:

October 15th Quilt Celebrations!

I know I've said this multiple times, but I really do continue to be amazed at the prolific output of our quilt group!

So, this week Joyce brought her
"Wear Warm Clothes" quilt made for her son-in-law.
She has decided that she needs to make two more,
one for each of her other two sons-in-law!
Different fabrics, same pattern.  I just love this!

Beautiful, Joyce!

Jessie brought yet another crazy quilt pillow,
made as a gift for a friend.  I love the color play on this!

Lovely, Jessie!

And then Diana showed us her "first quilt."
She began learning quilting from Shirley Taylor
at Centralia College many years ago.
She's been carrying the quilt around in the back of her car,
waiting for a night when Shirley was with us
so she could show it to her.  And us!
Some of the fabrics are from Shirley's stash,
which she identified!  Such fun.

Diana, this is wonderful!

Happy Quilting!!
