February 23rd Quilt Celebrations!

Last night was amazing!  We had 15 quilts to celebrate.  As I recall, in 2014 it was the same idea.  Lots of quilts finished in time for the show.  It starts DAY AFTER TOMORROW!!!

So, here we go.

Ruth shared these 3, 2 of which are "Chicken" quilts!  So much fun.
There's a feed sack on the back of the first one.
The third is a friendship quilt made over a 3-year period.

Wonderful, Ruth!

Quilt Celebrations August 11th!

We had a busy night on the 11th.  Just before Fair submissions needed to be made, so we had a fun evening!

Diana brought her airplane quilt designed
from a picture in a WWII magazine!

Wonderful, Diana!

Geralyn brought her hexie-circle quilt.

Stunning!

Valerie was visiting and brought her four-patch
in which many of us had a part!

Cute, Val!

She also had this lovely quilt made from an Antler Designs pattern.

Antler Designs is a young man who has been sewing and quilting
since he was a young boy.  His work is amazing.

Thanks for sharing, Val!

I brought Boomer's Colorado Log Cabin
which has been in the works for about 2 1/2 years.

Finally finished.  Woot!

And we got to see Dyan McKinnis's latest acquisition!
It is the same on both the front and the back.

There have been a number of us who have tried to figure out how
to put this together and there has been some success!

Happy Quilting!!

Quilt Celebrations from September 9th!

We had two lovely quilts to celebrate on Tuesday evening.

First was Carolann's 1930's reproduction which Lois Stoltenberg
hand-pieced and Carolann has hand-quilted.  The back is
pieced and suits the front so well.  Susy helped with
a serpentine border and Carolann is almost finished
with the binding.  It's to live on her bed, reminding
her of her childhood under the same kind of quilt.

Beautiful, Carolann!

Joan brought the quilt which her sister Valerie sent
for the Possibilities raffle, which takes place next month.
It has been a group effort in finishing it, and the result is stunning!

Thank you Val for donating this beauty!!

Happy Quilting!
