April 23, 2013 Quilt Celebration!

Another mini quilt show!!  I think we're being pretty prolific!

Deborah Lawrence brought in a baby quilt she made from the tumblers.  Very cute.....

Jessie brought her finished "Africa" quilt.  Just beautiful.

She used the "Jacob's Quilt" pattern from Rachelle,

then pieced the back to include an applique of Africa.

She also used a pieced June border, made from tiny squares.

And Jeanine brought her finished "Bridge Around the World" quilt.

Very cool!

And here we are, looking on and enjoying the show!

April 9th Quilt Celebration!

We had quite a show!

Geralyn brought 5 finished quilts to celebrate, Jessie brought 2, and Debbie, 1.  It looked like a mini quilt show in the library!

These two are from identical panels, but each has been bordered and quilted differently

These two are for her grandsons.

Look at the detail on the "Pennies" quilt.

Stunning work!

This one was made for her sister.

Jessie brought a baby quilt she put together in a weekend

and then a double wedding ring that she found

at the community garage sale at the fairgrounds.

It just needs binding.  What a find!

And Debbie brought her "Broken Dishes" made partly with the

orphan blocks from the group project of many years ago.
