October 7th Quilt Celebrations!

Last evening, we celebrated one of the little sample quilts Susy is making for Bobbi to demonstrate Kim Diehl's "Simple Whatnots Club" quilts.  Susy says she has really enjoyed these little bitty yo-yos!

So cute, Susy!

And Mary Ann brought a quilt top that she and her friend Ellen put together over the weekend.  It is for the soon-to-be-born baby of Ellen's friend and realtor.  The embroidered "penny-blocks" are those which her grandma made years ago for a baby quilt for Ellen.  They are combined with Seahawks fabric because the baby's daddy is a major Seahawks fan!

Happy Quilting!!

September 30th Quilt Celebrations!

On Tuesday evening, we had our monthly four-patch block exchange, as well as celebrating 2 lovely quilts.  Block exchange nights are fun.  Sometimes we have people dropping off their blocks who are only able to come now and again, so it's fun to get to see them!

Sharon brought her beautiful red, white and black quilt.
She and/or her husband machine quilted it in-house.

Isn't it striking?

Beautiful work, Sharon!

Marylu shared her darling string quilt, made for her sister's grandbaby.
I love how she sewed it with the center strip the same on all the blocks,
making it look as if it is sashed.  Very clever!

So sweet, Marylu!

Ruth also showed us some fun "Disappearing" blocks she made.
