April 15th Quilt Celebration!

Tuesday evening Carolann brought her quilt made in memory of her husband, Tony, which is a gift for her youngest daughter, Lexi.  It is made from Hawaiian fabrics reminiscent of Tony's shirts.  As she didn't want to cut up his shirts, a friend of hers brought back fabrics from Hawaii which she used in place of them.  When it was finished, she had Barb quilt it.  There are palm trees in the quilting!  It's a beautiful tribute, Carolann.

Lovely work!

Clark County Quilt Show in Vancouver

Yesterday a few of us went to a quilt show in Vancouver.  Here are a few pictures from the exhibit.  In the first shot, you'll see Susy's "Effie's Basket" quilt top on the display wall of the "Momma Made It" booth.  When we got there 2 hours after opening, Sharon said she had already sold one kit for it!

Enjoy!

April 1st Quilt Celebrations!

We had two lovely quilts to celebrate on Tuesday.  Pat brought her batik beauty and Sharon brought her amazing pieced rose quilt.

Pat used jelly rolls for this one and a couple of the gals at Sisters
helped her find the perfect border.

Beautiful, Pat!

Sharon says there are 174 pieces (did I get that right?) in each of the blocks!!
The quilting is roses in salmon-colored thread.

Wonderful work, Sharon!
