October 15th Quilt Celebrations!

I know I've said this multiple times, but I really do continue to be amazed at the prolific output of our quilt group!

So, this week Joyce brought her
"Wear Warm Clothes" quilt made for her son-in-law.
She has decided that she needs to make two more,
one for each of her other two sons-in-law!
Different fabrics, same pattern.  I just love this!

Beautiful, Joyce!

Jessie brought yet another crazy quilt pillow,
made as a gift for a friend.  I love the color play on this!

Lovely, Jessie!

And then Diana showed us her "first quilt."
She began learning quilting from Shirley Taylor
at Centralia College many years ago.
She's been carrying the quilt around in the back of her car,
waiting for a night when Shirley was with us
so she could show it to her.  And us!
Some of the fabrics are from Shirley's stash,
which she identified!  Such fun.

Diana, this is wonderful!

Happy Quilting!!

October 8th Quilt Celebrations!

Another spectacular night in the library!

Geralyn shared her Nine-Patch & Snowball quilt
made for her grandson, Collin (sp?).
It has so many wonderful Civil War
reproduction prints in it and the applique is fun.
Beautiful, Geralyn!

Joann brought her frog quilt.  So whimsical and such fun!
There were many ooohs and aaahs over this one!
Really a fun one, Joann!

Joan brought two to share.
This is her first machine quilted quilt!
Great job, Joan!

And here is her Jacob's quilt.
She started it last August at the quilt retreat
and here it is completed.
Isn't it gorgeous?
Lovely work, Joan!

 Happy Quilting!

October 1st Quilt Celebrations!

More celebrations!  Barb and Deborah both brought finished projects to share.

Barb finished her "Brick" quilt, adapted from an ABC kit.
She turned it into a Quilters ABC!
Such a comfortable looking quilt.

Deborah brought her blue-ribbon-winning Bow Tie.
She made it for her husband as a commemorative
for their first date, on which he wore a bow tie.
Very sweet, Deborah!

Happy Quilting!
