 We had a couple of fun quilts to celebrate on the 27th!

First, Rachelle brought one she quilted for Sherrie Conrad that, if I'm remembering correctly, had come from Sherrie's mother.  So cute.

Nice work, Rachelle!

Quilt Celebration - September 22, 2015

Ruth brought a couple of Linus finishes to share.  Her 90+ year old friend did the bindings on them!

Mary Ann had put the blue piece together and my memory fails me as to who did the other.

Thanks for sharing, Ruth!

Quilt Celebrations for September 8th!

Rachelle brought two treasures to share.

Her mother pieced the blocks in this first Dresden.

Rachelle repaired it and quilted it.

On the back is a key to how some of the fabrics had originally been used.

Her daughter pieced the second one and Rachelle finished it for her.

Two quilts, one from the generation on either side of Rachelle,
both of them finished by her.
Very cool!

Beautifully done, Rachelle.

Then Marylu shared a tutorial on how she has figured out how to make
the triangles to recreate Dyan's 30's quilt.

Thanks, Marylu!

Happy Quilting!!

Quilt Celebrations August 11th!

We had a busy night on the 11th.  Just before Fair submissions needed to be made, so we had a fun evening!

Diana brought her airplane quilt designed
from a picture in a WWII magazine!

Wonderful, Diana!

* * * * * * *
Geralyn brought her hexie-circle quilt.

Stunning!

* * * * * * *

Valerie was visiting and brought her four-patch
in which many of us had a part!

Cute, Val!

She also had this lovely quilt made from an Antler Designs pattern.

Antler Designs is a young man who has been sewing and quilting
since he was a young boy.  His work is amazing.

Thanks for sharing, Val!

I brought Boomer's Colorado Log Cabin
which has been in the works for about 2 1/2 years.

Finally finished.  Woot!

* * * * * * *

And we got to see Dyan McKinnis's latest acquisition!
It is the same on both the front and the back.

There have been a number of us who have tried to figure out how
to put this together and there has been some success!

Happy Quilting!!

The fabric was found once back in the States!

And a strip quilt.

Beautiful, Ruth!
