July 30th Quilt Celebration, plus a little crazy fun!

Well, tonight was a little different than most nights at quilting.  Rachelle's family reunion was in full swing at the school, so we met in the science room in order to leave the library open as a nursery for the babies in attendance.

Partway through the evening, we were encouraged to go to the gym and check out the "boats" that had been constructed for some of the games the reunion-goers played.  Amazing, to say the least!  So, being the daring sea-going gals we are, we climbed aboard and had a sea battle right there in the gym!

Thanks to Susy Carpenter and Gerry Bryson for the video and photos.  I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!

And we did manage to celebrate Jessie's fabulous Crazy Quilt, too!
This is for her best friend in Texas.
It is made from ties, specialty fabrics, satins and velvets and is embellished
with a bunch of really fun lace and embroidery.  I love the colors!
Beautifully done, Jessie!
