September 24th Quilt Celebrations!

I continue to be amazed at how prolific our dear quilt group is!  We celebrated several more beautiful quilts last night.

Diana brought a very interesting piece with a great story behind it.
Her daughter made her a fused glass "quilt" for a table centerpiece,
and in turn, Diana made a copy of the glass piece in an actual quilt.
She says batiks made it work.  It's rather amazing.
The small picture is of the glass piece, and you can see how closely they match.
I thought at first that the snapshot was a picture of Diana's quilt!

Barb brought two to celebrate.  The first is a small applique.  Beautiful work!

The second is her Piece and Plenty quilt in red, white and blue.
I am very taken with this one!
She got the block of the month kit from Stitchin' Heaven.  Lovely, Barb.

Then there were two Linus quilts shown.  Diana bound this one.

And Theresa told us about this one.
She made it doing a string pattern and particularly wanted us to see this Size 0
that the hospitals like for the newborns.  Fun one!

And last was the group quilt made for Possibilities Pregnancy Center.
Susy and Carolann have worked on finishing up the project
in which many have had a part.
Beautiful end-result!

Happy Quilting!!
