Lots of Blue Ribbons at the Fair!!

Well, I have to say that In-Stitches made a good showing at the Fair.  What fun!

I went and took pictures of everything I could find that was entered by any of us in the Home Arts Division.  I've not shown every piece that every person entered, but there is a good sampling here.

First of all, Ruth Decker took Best of Class and Grand Champion!
Congratulations, Ruth!

Of Marylu's and Mary Ann's Downton Abbey Doll Clothing,
this one took Best of Class and Reserve Champion!
Congratulations to you both!!

And every one of the others got a blue ribbon!

Susy got "Living Arts Person" again this year.
Congratulations, Susy!!!

Here is a sampling of her work.

"Piece and Plenty Quilt"

"Little"

And her block for the Quilter's Junction Challenge

Nice work as always, Susy!

Deborah Lawrence's Tumbler and a Bib and Clutch
All with Blue Ribbons!
Congratulations, Deborah!

Barb got two blocks in the Quilter's Junction Challenge.
Fun stuff, Barb.  You did a great job with those quirky fabrics!
Congratulations!!

Diana Wolf had two quilts entered.
Both won blue ribbons!
Congratulations, Diana!

Joyce entered her "Lil Blokes" and it took a blue ribbon.
Congratulations, Joyce!

Pat Baird entered two quilts, both of which got blue ribbons.
Congratulations, Pat!

Beckie entered her "Snowball" and it took a blue ribbon!
Congratulations, Beckie!

I entered my Broken Dishes quilt, and it got a blue ribbon.
That's always fun!

Here's the Yard Bird's quilt, for which the maker came for inspiration
to one of our Tuesday evening gatherings.  It was fun to see it there!

And this is one I just really liked!
Janet Lucas made it.  I don't know her, but I like her work!

And last, I just wanted to show you
Jessie's blue ribbon in the Senior Art Division.
She took First Place with this watercolor portrait of Maggie.

So, what think you??
I think we did ourselves proud!
Beautiful work, ladies!!

My sincere apologies if I missed anyone!!

  3. thank you so much for the kind words about my quilt. I call it "Waste Not, Want Not" because it was made from left over blocks and bits of pieces I had started but not finished. I do love it myself!

    1. Janet, what fun to have you drop in! Barb told me she had sent you the link. I surely hope you can join us some evening and bless us with seeing your creation up close. I love its name and the fact that it's made of orphan blocks and etc. Always fun. Beautiful work!
